About Dave
Follow the problem.
Keep asking.
Why does capable effort so often fail to become useful progress?

A question that crosses the boundaries.
Dave Morris is a strategist, writer, researcher, keynote speaker, and author of Good People Dumb Systems. His work connects competitive strategy with the people, AI, and organisational systems that shape what a business can actually do. He is the founder of Poko and a PhD candidate at the University of Wollongong, studying what happens after companies make big strategic decisions, using company records over time.
The book considers the demands placed on people. Poko and Pokodex provide a place to examine human–AI collaboration in practice. The doctoral research follows what happens after companies make big strategic moves.
These strands inform one another. Their evidence and status remain distinct.
