Dave Morris writes and speaks about why capable people get stuck, how AI changes the way we think, and what it takes to make organisational strategy work. He is the author of Good People Dumb Systems, founder of Poko, and a PhD candidate at the University of Wollongong. His work connects corporate strategy, practical AI development, and research with questions people recognise from everyday working life. Dave’s professional background includes more than 15 years in corporate strategy and a former managing director role at Brilliance Lab. His doctoral research follows what organisations do after major strategic events, using public-company records across 21 cases. At Poko, he explores the human–AI handover: what people delegate, what they keep thinking through, and how both people and AI systems can become more capable. His keynotes, interviews, and essays bring these questions to leadership audiences and curious general readers.
